The Overview

Menin Hospitality wanted to explore a mobile app solution to match their luxury brand and experience.

Our customer is opening its new property in Miami at the beginning of 2023. They want to create a hospitality and residential experience for the people who own on their property and travelers staying on the property. The luxury building features high-end furnished condos, hotels, and commercial office space. The property will cultivate a place of comfort, ease, and inspiration and encourage you to to be yourself, stay and own on your terms, and live like a local. There will be luxuries and services of a hotel at your fingertips with the freedom of home-sharing your Miami condo as desired.

We held seven virtual discovery sessions with the hospitality team based in Miami, Florida. The goals of the discovery sessions were to discuss business goals, key information to help solidify feature priorities, define design direction, and identify technical considerations. In result, a targeted plan will be created for implementing a mobile app experience.

The activities and UX methodologies allowed their team to work through challenging questions to address potential roadblocks and identify viable solutions critical to the project’s success.

Primary Archetypes

We explored three primary archetypes during the discovery workshop: The Condo Owner, The Condo Tenant & Hotel Guest, and The Office Tenant.

Secondary archetypes involve visitors and locals, restaurant guests, event and banquet attendees and social club members and guests.

Design Deliverables

The creation of the moodboard allowed me to collect inspiration for the new project, get to know their brand and sketch out some pattern ideas to potentially incorporate into future designs. It was a segue between initial thoughts when approaching their brand and the first draft of the project.

Visual Design

This Hospitality and Residential solution uses Phunware’s Industry Solution that has been productized. All design components used are from the Phunware Design System. The Phunware Design System allows designers to customize and configure visual design and layouts for each customer with theming. The theming within our components allows designers to swap typography and brand colors giving each customer a custom experience.
